La Manzanilla’s Crocodile Sanctuary
These American Crocodiles are found in La Manzanilla’s Crocodile Sanctuary in Mexico. It was declared an official Ramsar Wetland in 2008. Before then, locals had been fighting to keep it protected from development.
Now Crocodiles, birds, and mangroves can live together in peace away from modern destruction.
